About Austin Gray - The BajoDog:

Austin Gray the Great Dane was given to me by my Sister in Law for designing and hosting her Great Dane breeder’s website @ www.greatpuppies.org.  Austin was named by my nieces Shawnee and Cheyenne. I did not change his name because I knew he would be coming back to see the kids. I added the Gray to his name because it just made sense because he is a Gray (Blue Merle) Great Dane.
Great Dane Puppy - It Does not get any better than this!

Before I brought him home I had planned to name him Alex after Alexander the Great but it just did not happen.

Austin has been the best I could have ever expected from a dog. When I first got him, I brought him home to my down town Portland, Oregon condo which had 700sq ft. Austin love living in down town Portland. The condo was on the west bank of the Willamette River across the river from the Rose Garden. Our home was right next to the river and Austin had his own beach to run and chase gees. At night we would walk up and down Tom McCall park or right Max to Pioneer Square where we would go into the front door of Nostrums and sit together on the chair at the entrance of the store. He loves to sit there and watch people walk by.

On sunny days we would walk up to the far end of Tom McCall Park where I let him swim in the river. It’s an amazing site to see a 200 lb Great Dane swimming. He loves to swim and any chance I get I take him swimming if the weather is warm enough. During the summer, I take him swimming in the Clackamas River at Riverside Park in Oregon City. He loves to swim in rivers and lakes but will not swim in the ocean. He is the only Great Dane that I have ever seen swim.

I remember the day that I brought him home for the first time. He was an 8wk old ugly gray Great Dane. He weight 30lbs and he had the biggest paws I ever saw on a 30lb dog. He was clumsy and tripped over everything. When I put him in my Jeep and drove from Molalla to Portland, Oregon, he did not whine or whimper once.

Once we got home, he began exploring his new home and began looking for things to chew on… and things to chew on… and things to chew on!

The greatest thing about Austin is once I told him no, he got it right away. I do computer work and have multiple computers in my house and wires running on the floor. One of the first things he tried to chew on was a cable and when I told him no, he has never tried to chew on the cables again. He got it!

I remember the first time I caught him throwing up in the condo; I grabbed him and threw him into the bath tub. Since that time occasionally, I go to the bath room and find that he has thrown up in the bath tub... awesome dog!
